STORY
1925. The south Swedish countryside. Voting rights for women has recently been introduced and Margit (18), who loves school, is encouraged by the local teacher to apply for University. He and his wife offers to help but unfamiliar with that world and not wanting to leave her sister Svea alone, Margit turns the kind offer down. But when Svea is raped by the son of the propertied farmer, a top student of law, and no one takes the charges seriously, Margit decides to take up on the schoolteacher’ s offer and goes to the University in Lund, aiming for studies in law. Where the perpetrator is.
